The department of national defense is scaling back the planned Nanisivik Naval Facility in Nunavut. Why is this facility important to Canada's national defense strategy? It is at the mouth of the North West Passage, a body of water even our most closest of allies do not recognize as belonging to Canada and it is close to another disputed territory, Hans Island. Denmark is not backing down, they are reinforcing their northern forces.
Can't the Conservatives do anything right? National defense is supposed to be the bread and butter of any conservative movement right? Another myth perpetuated by those only interested in lining their own pockets.
